1. Native app (.apk) checking…
The fastest, most app-like experience. Installs like any other Android app, launches from the home screen, no browser involved.
- Tap the green button below to download the APK.
- When the download finishes, tap the notification (or open Files → Downloads).
- If Android asks "For your security, your phone isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source" — tap Settings → enable "Allow from this source" for your browser, then go back.
- Tap Install → app icon appears on your home screen.
Checking availability…
The APK isn't built yet. Use Option 2 below — it's identical in practice.
2. Install as PWA always works
Chrome installs the same scanner directly to your home screen. Works exactly like a real app — fullscreen, splash screen, offline-first. This is what most "apps" really are these days.
- Open
/scan/ in Chrome (Sign in if prompted).
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top-right).
- Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
- Done — the Mizan Scanner icon is on your home screen.
Open Scanner now →
If you only see "Add to Home screen" (not "Install app"), it'll still work but as a Chrome shortcut rather than a fullscreen PWA. The first time, give it ~10 sec to fully cache before tapping install.
3. Just use it in Chrome no install
If you'd rather not install anything, just bookmark the URL. Same features, lives in a Chrome tab.
- Open Chrome and go to
https://jerichoqb.home/scan/
- Tap ⋮ → ★ Bookmark.
